The water temperature was recorded at 81-82 degrees Fahrenheit, while the air temperature ranged from 78-80 degrees Fahrenheit, contributing to an overall pleasant and stable environment.
The 42-foot Cabo flybridge boat CALIENTE, run by Jaime Silverio, had a really productive outing in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Around 11:50 at their chosen spot, they landed 10 striped marlin, each weighing between 90 and 100 pounds, all caught using Ballyhoo. Along with those, they also brought in a 60-pound sailfish and a 35-pound dorado, both caught the same way and at the same time. Jaime Gonzalez has confirmed that all the details of the catch are accurate.
The 64-foot Viking LA CHINGONA 2, captained by Toño, had an impressive day out in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, hauling in 12 striped marlin weighing around 110 pounds each, all caught on ballyhoo at about 11:50. They also picked up a 33-pound dorado on live bait and an 80-pound yellowfin tuna using bait, all around the same time. The trip included anglers Christian Zamoscianyk, along with Liam O’Farrell and Scott Barber.
On Saturday, June 6, 2026, weather conditions were clear with calm seas. Wave heights ranged between 4 and 5 feet, accompanied by winds measuring approximately 14 miles per hour. The water temperature remained warm, ranging from 80 to 83 degrees Fahrenheit.
On board Bill Collector 4, a 35-foot Cabo Flybridge commanded by Jean Carlo and crew, the results were notably strong. The vessel reported six striped marlin, all successfully released, along with one dorado weighing approximately 30 to 35 pounds. In addition, one silky shark in the 80 to 90-pound range was caught. This outing reflects both a high catch volume and a clear commitment to responsible fishing practices, resulting in a successful and action-packed day on the water.
Similarly, BBII, a 37-foot Viking Billfish vessel built in 2018 and captained by Gil, Hector, and Lalo, focused primarily on targeting yellowfin tuna. The vessel La Chingona 2, operated by Toño and Luis out of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, reported a successful fishing outing highlighted by the catch of four yellowfin tuna weighing between 60 and 80 pounds. The fish were caught at the 11:50 fishing spot using curry as bait. The trip was conducted under authorization associated with Antonio Bojorquez, and all activities took place within the waters of Cabo San Lucas, reflecting favorable conditions and productive offshore fishing in the area.
The vessel Ruthless 3, a 31-foot Bertram, reported a productive outing with a variety of species landed. The trip also yielded one jack crevalle of about 10 pounds, caught on cocinero near Cerro Colorado, and one silky shark weighing approximately 20 pounds, hooked on caballito at the 11:50 spot. The crew for this outing included Beto Lira and Velez, with Ray Young associated with the trip.
On Monday, June 8, 2026, conditions featured clear skies with choppy seas throughout the day. Wave heights ranged between 4 to 6 feet, accompanied by winds measuring approximately 16 miles per hour. The water temperature remained steady, ranging from 80 to 81 degrees Fahrenheit.
On board the 42‑foot Cabo Flybridge “Hot Rod,” under the command of Capt. Jose “Hot Rod” Ramiro, with Mate Ramirez, Kim Snell of Denton, Texas, experienced an outstanding day at the 11:50 fishing grounds. The crew tallied four striped marlin in the 80–130 lb class, all designated as cocinero, along with a 45 lb dorado and four additional cocinero at the same location. Rounding out the catch was a silky shark estimated between 100 and 120 pounds, also taken as cocinero, marking the trip as both productive and memorable.
Meanwhile, the 35‑foot Cabo Flybridge “Bill Collector 2” (Abel/Ninja) produced solid action for anglers Cory Hamman, Roger Calandres, and Thomas Keresztury from Corpus Christi, Texas. Working the 1150 spot, the team successfully released two striped marlin in the 100–120 lb range on cocinero and ballyhoo. The bite continued with an 80–90 lb sailfish caught on ballyhoo, while a 90–100 lb silky shark struck a caballito, completing a well‑rounded day on the water with a mix of billfish and shark encounters.
The “Tiburon” trip with Rosendo Gomez Carlos sounded like a solid day out on the water, with the crew landing six striped marlin in the 80–100 lb range using Ballyhoo and Cocinero bait around the 1150 spot, which is pretty impressive action. They also picked up a nice dorado around 20–25 lbs using Cocinero in the same area, adding a good mix to the catch. David Rupert Martin and Wade Martin were part of the crew, and overall, it seems like everyone had a great time with consistent bites and strong results, making it a memorable and productive outing.
Tuesday, June 9, 2026, brought a really nice day overall with clear skies and calm seas, even though the wave heights were running around 6–7 feet. The water temps stayed in a good range between 75 and 84 degrees, while the air was a bit cooler, sitting between 68 and 75 degrees. There was some steady wind in the mix, blowing anywhere from about 10 up to 29, but it didn’t seem to take away from what looked like solid conditions out there.
The 30ft Bertram “Karina,” led by Orlando Murillo Jorge, had a strong outing, putting Velez 1 on an impressive blue marlin weighing around 300 lbs, which landed on the cocinero right around 11:50. It must have been an exciting fight and definitely the highlight of the day. The action didn’t stop there either, as they also released two striped marlin in the 90–110 lb range on ballyhoo around the same time, and added a solid 40 lb. dorado, also on ballyhoo, keeping things busy on deck. Andy Vanbueren, Duane Rexford, and Erik Ginger were part of the crew, and overall it sounded like a productive trip with plenty of action, great teamwork, and some memorable catches out on the water.
The 35ft Cabo Flybridge “Bill Collector 3” run by Juan, Ramon, and Luis had an outstanding day on the water, putting their group on seven striped marlin in the 90–120 lb. range, all caught on ballyhoo around 11:50, which made for nonstop action and an exciting trip from start to finish. Alexandra Gay, Brian Gay, and Grayson Gay, visiting from Valdosta, Florida, were part of the crew and enjoyed an incredible bite with multiple hookups, making it a memorable experience with great fishing and plenty of excitement out on the water.
On Wednesday, June 10, 2026, weather conditions were favorable, with clear skies and calm seas. The wave height ranged from 4 to 5 feet, accompanied by winds of approximately 16 miles per hour. Water temperatures were recorded between 80- and 82 degrees Fahrenheit, while air temperatures remained slightly cooler, ranging from 77 to 79 degrees Fahrenheit. These conditions contributed to a stable and pleasant marine environment.
The fishing excursion aboard the 29-foot Black Fin vessel El Cazador, operated by Carmelo and Luis A., proved to be a productive outing. During the trip, a total of two marlin, each weighing between 100 and 120 pounds, were successfully caught using Ballyhoo bait at the 95 Spot. In addition, four dorado ranging from 10 to 35 pounds were landed under similar conditions, also using Ballyhoo at the same location. The trip was enjoyed by angler Christopher Hulsey, contributing to a memorable and successful day on the water.
The fishing trip aboard the 31-foot Bertram “Ruthless”, captained by Beto Lira and Jorge V., resulted in an impressive and highly successful outing. The crew recorded a total of five marlin, each weighing between 100 and 120 pounds, all caught using a combination of Ballyhoo and Cocinero bait at the 1150 area. Additionally, one dorado weighing between 15 and 18 pounds was landed using Cocinero bait at the same location. The expedition was enjoyed by Mr. Wade Martin, making for a remarkable day of offshore fishing marked by both skill and productivity.
On Thursday, June 11, 2026, weather and marine conditions were clear and stable. The skies remained clear throughout the period, while sea conditions were calm, contributing to relatively smooth navigation. Wave heights ranged between 4 and 5 feet. Water temperatures were recorded between 77°F and 84°F, and air temperatures ranged from 70°F to 76°F. Winds were measured at speeds between 12 and 24 knots, indicating moderate breezes across the area.
The vessel “TRACY ANN,” a 31-foot Bertram operated by Captain Jesus, reported a productive outing with several notable catches. The crew landed one striped marlin estimated at 100 to 110 pounds using a caballito at Faro, as well as one dorado weighing approximately 20 to 25 pounds caught on ballyhoo at Faro. Additionally, a silky shark estimated between 100 and 120 pounds was caught using cocinero at Faro. The crew landed one striped marlin estimated between 100 and 110 pounds using a cocinero at the 1150 Spot, as well as one dorado weighing approximately 20 to 25 pounds caught on ballyhoo at the same location. Additionally, one shark estimated at 60 to 70 pounds was caught using a cocinero at the 1150 Spot. The trip was undertaken by anglers Bryan Carroll and Tina Carroll, who are residents of Tigard, Oregon, United States.
