“Pisces Fleet Anglers Reel in Glory

Pisces Fleet Weekly Update – November 28–December 4, 2025

Throughout the week, the region saw predominantly clear skies and calm seas, with wave heights steady at 2–3 feet. Water temperatures fluctuated slightly, ranging from 75°F to 82°F, while air temperatures ranged from 70°F to 81°F. These stable and pleasant conditions contributed to the high volume and quality of catches reported.

Among the highlights was ‘CHASIN TAIL,’ (a 62-foot Viking captained by Pepe, Ulises, and Hamo) whose anglers,  Adam Allison, Larry Martin II, Larry Martin III, Mason Jones, Scott Jones, Tyler Ludwig, and Xavier Farnum from California, landed four Striped Marlin weighing between 70 and 110 pounds at the Pedregalito.

Additionally, the ‘RUTHLESS,’ a 31-foot Bertram with Captain Beto Lira at the Helm and Mate Jesus R running the cockpit, recorded three 100 to 120-pound Striped Marlin as well as three 20-pound Dorado at the Los Arcos Spot that David Pewitt from Fort Walton Beach, Florida, caught.

‘BILL COLLECTOR II,’a35-foot Cabo Flybridge, with Captain Juan C. Lopez and Mate JC Martinez, took their client, John Williams, from San Diego, California, to the Los Cerritos Spot, where he caught one Yellowfin Tuna weighing around 10 pounds, he caught and released eleven Striped Marlin from 100 to 120 pounds on mackerel, and he caught one 12 to 15-pound Dorado.

With Captain Rosendo and Mate Gomez Carlos on the ‘TIBURÓN,’ a 31-foot Bertram, caught and released ten 100 to 120-pound Striped Marlin on mackerel at the Los Arcos and three Dorado weighing from 10 to 22 pounds on Lures and a mackerel at Las Brechas and Los Arcos.

 ‘TRACY ANN,’ a 31-foot Bertram, with Captain Orlando at the helm and Mate Raul Leal running the cockpit, four 30-pound Wahoo on Rapala at the Margaritas, ten Striped Marlin that they caught and released at Los Arcos, and seven 10 to 20-pound Dorado at the Margaritas.

The Pisces Fleet enjoyed an outstanding week of fishing between November 28 and December 4, 2025, posting an impressive overall success rate of 97.80%. Billfish 65.93%, Dorado 45.05%, Other 5.49% Roosterfish 2.20%,  Tuna 40.66%, and Anglers and crews brought in a remarkable variety of species, highlighted by 65.93% Billfish, 25.19% Dorado, 35.56% Tuna, 5.93%, Wahoo, 5.49%..

This success was driven by both the skill of the fleet and consistently favorable weather, with clear skies, calm seas, and water temperatures ranging from 75°F to 82°F.

The ‘CHASIN TAIL,‘ a 62-foot Viking captained by Pepe, with Mates Ulises and Hamo, had a group of anglers from California on board: Adam Allison, Larry Martin II, Larry Martin III, Mason Jones, Scott Jones, Tyler Ludwig, and Xavier Farnum. They landed four Striped Marlin (weighing between 70 and 110 pounds) at the Pedregalito.

Additionally, the ‘RUTHLESS,’ a 31-foot Bertram, with Captain Beto Lira at the Helm and Mate Jesus R running the cockpit, recorded three 100 to 120-pound Striped Marlin that were taken by client David Pewitt from Fort Walton Beach, Florida, on three mackerel, as well as three 20-pound Dorado.

'KNOT WORKIN,' a 35-foot Cabo Flybridge

Clay Buckingham from Huntington Beach, California, chose the ‘KNOT WORKIN,’ a 35-foot Cabo Flybridge captained byAbraham L., with Mate Cesar. Hoping for a highly successful day, they ran to the 180 Spot, where they found what they were looking for. Clay caught and released one Blue Marlin weighing approximately 280 pounds on a chihuili, 21 miles from the 180 Spot, and caught five 10 to 60-pound Yellowfin Tuna in that same area.

Rebecca,' a 31-foot Bertram

Bertil Pettersson also had a successful day on the ‘Rebecca,’ a 31-foot Bertram with Captain Jose Ramon Alucano running the boat and Mate Marcelo D working the cockpit. Bertil caught and released six Striped Marlin ranging from 100 to 110 at Los Arcos on mackerel.

'HOT ROD,' a 42-foot Cabo Flybridge

On the ‘HOT ROD,‘ a 42-foot Cabo Flybridge, Captain Erick Orozco and Mate Hot Rod Jose Ramiro Ramirez took their group from Edmond, Oklahoma—Johnny Sharp, Jonathan Krummel, Lawson Krummel, and Taylor Alspaugh to the Los Arcos Spot, where the Oklahoma group caught and released five Striped Marlin that weighed between 80 and 140 pounds on mackerel.

Captain Juan Carlos with his Mate Cuate, who run the ‘BILL COLLECTOR II,’ a 35-foot Cabo Flybridge, produced quite a successful day for their Waterford, Michigan guests, Chris Crespi, Elisabeth Lindsay, and Greg Mozariwskyj, when they put them on a 120-pound Striped Marlin at the Lighthouse, which they caught and releasedan 18-pound Dorado they caught on curry at the Lighthouse, and seven Yellowfin Tuna weighing from 15 to 40 pounds on bait and feathers at the Herradura.

BBII,‘ a 37-foot Viking Billfish 2018, managed by Captain Hector and Mates Lalo and Alan had their clients Alexander Robert, Charles Page, Jeff Musialek, and Justen Harcourt, from Surrey, British Columbia, Canada, catch one 20-pound Dorado on a mackerel at the Lighthouse, and catch and release seven 110 to 120-pound Striped Marlin on Mackerel at the Lighthouse and the Cerros de Arena.

BILL COLLECTOR II a 35-foot Cabo Flybridge, with Captain Juan C. Lopez and Mate JC Martinez, took their client, John Williams, from San Diego, California, to the Los Cerritos Spot, where he caught one Yellowfin Tuna weighing around 10 pounds on feathers. Next, the avid angler caught and released eleven Striped Marlin from 100 to 120 pounds on mackerel, and one 12 to 15-pound Dorado, at the Los Cerritos Spot.

P   John Weil, from Yuma, Arizona, chartered the ‘ADRIANA,’ a 28-foot Uniflite managed by Captain Frank and Mate Arturo L. John caught ten Yellowfin Tuna weighing between 20 and 40 pounds on bait 20 miles to the 220 Spot. During this period, fishing conditions remained favorable, with anglers consistently reporting excellent catches and memorable releases.

Captain Ray Winkler and his assistant and mate, Jesus Winkler, welcomed Blake Spiegel, Gage Dallmann, Jessica Haug, John Spiegel, and Mike Haug from Minnesota aboard the LA BRISA,’ a 31-foot Bertram. They headed to the Eli As Calles Spot, where the guests caught one Dorado on feathers weighing around 15 pounds, seven Yellowfin Tuna between 15 and 40 pounds on bait, and one 30-pound Wahoo caught on a green lure.

'ANDREA,' a 28-foot Uniflite

Bill Sholk and Joel Hunter from Longwood, Florida, chose the ‘ANDREA,‘ a 28-foot Uniflite run by Captain Fernando Noyola and Mate Brian. He caught a 40-pound Yellowfin Tuna 15 miles to the 180 Spot. Then moving to the Lighthouse area, he caught and released five Striped Marlin weighing approximately 100 to 130 pounds on live and dead mackerel, plus two Dorado around 20 pounds on a Lure and a mackerel, all taken at the Lighthouse.

'KARINA,' a 30-foot Bertram

Captain Bruce and Mate Jorge Velez run the ‘KARINA,’ a 30-foot Bertram, and according to  Jared Butt, Kalen Butt, Logan Butt, and Matt Darrington, from Ammon, Idaho, they do an excellent job of it. They ran to the Lighthouse, where they caught and released three Striped Marlin weighing approximately 100, 120, and 130 pounds on mackerel.

'TIBURÓN,' a 31-foot Bertram

Captain Rosendo and Mate Gomez Carlos, who run the ‘TIBURÓN,’ a 31-foot Bertram, enjoyed having Gibbons Cornwell from Vaughn, Montana, aboard, and they had an excellent day by anyone’s standards. He caught and released ten 100 to 120-pound Striped Marlin on mackerel at the Los Arcos and three Dorado weighing from 10 to 22 pounds on Lures and a mackerel at Las Brechas and Los Arcos. 

'TRACY ANN,' a 31-foot Bertram

‘TRACY ANN,’ a 31-foot Bertram, with Captain Orlando at the helm and Mate Raul Leal running the cockpit, had an avid trio of anglers from Elm Creek, Nebraska. It’s a good thing they were skilled fishermen, because they were put to the test as they fought four 30-pound Wahoo on Rapala at the Margaritasten Striped Marlin that they caught and released between 100 and 120 pounds on mackerel at Los Arcos, plus seven 10 to 20-pound Dorado they took on lures at the Margaritas.
