This week’s offshore fishing trips delivered a range of impressive catches and memorable experiences for anglers. -Our Pisces captains and mates demonstrated exceptional skills and teamwork, guiding guests to productive waters and helping them land a variety of prized species, including Striped Marlin, Yellowfin Tuna, Dorado, and Wahoo. Our winter season has begun, and it’s time for the serious angler to find their targeted species.

On Friday, the Rebecca, captained by Jose Ramon Alucano with mate Marcelo, hosted anglers Charles Numbers and Mattson Smith. Their efforts resulted in the catch and release of a 120-pound Striped Marlin as well as the successful landing of four Yellowfin Tuna, the largest weighing 40 pounds, outside the 95 Spot.
That same day, Captain Roberto Sandez and Mate Salvador Flores aboard the “VALERIE” guided Kevin Hunt, Shayan Kamkar, Tim Crosta, and Tom Flank from Harpswell, Maine, caught four Yellowfin Tuna weighing 20 to 100 pounds at the 95 Spot.

Over the weekend, a group from Beverly Hills, California—Emma Marciano, James Cantain, Micah Schiffman, Olivia Marciano, Olivia Wachsberger, Stefan Fior, and Tony Lobel—chartered the “LADY HOMA,” captained by Lupe with mates Javier and Dulce. Their efforts at the Herradura were rewarded with a notable 97-pound Yellowfin Tuna.

Meanwhile, the “RIPPER,” with Captain Niko and Mate Jose Luis, led anglers Austin Enos, Bob Kuks, George Enos, Steve Lawler, and Tyler Enos to the Los Arcos Spot. The group caught and released four Striped Marlin, landed a 30-pound Yellowfin Tuna, and secured a 40-pound Wahoo.

On Monday, Captain Roberto Sandez and Mate Salvador Flores welcomed Arthur and Rene Guidry from Winnie, Texas, aboard the “VALERIE” as they pursued tuna toward Rancho San Lucas. They landed two Yellowfin Tuna, weighing 30 and 84 pounds.
The “LISTO,” captained by Ray with mates Kiury and Benito, hosted anglers from Pensacola, Florida—Andrew Herrick, Brian Andrews, Gary Sluder, Keith Johnson, and Ken McIlhenny—at the Los Arcos Spot. They caught and released five Marlin, and later at the Margaritas, added a 20-pound Dorado to their tally.

On Tuesday, Captain Ray and Mate Jesus Winkler guided Bob Beitman, Kevin Carstensen, and Mark Vanson aboard the “LA BRISA.” The group caught and released a 90-pound Striped Marlin and boated seven Yellowfin Tuna outside the Los Arcos area.

By Wednesday, Chad Peterson, Jay Cooke, Kathy Cooke, Shana Peterson, and Will Yount from Katy, Texas, ventured out on the “HOT ROD.” Thirty-five miles from the 180, they caught three Dorado weighing up to 20 pounds and caught and released an impressive 18 Yellowfin Tuna up to 40 pounds.
The “MY WAY,” captained by Arturo S. with Daniel S. and Josue R., delivered a successful outing for Glenn Ray Garland, Harlan Burris, John Erskine, Kathy Erskine, and Veronica Rae Hegar. Near the Lighthouse and Los Arcos, they released five Striped Marlin and boated two Dorado.

The “BILL COLLECTOR II,” managed by Captain Juan C. Lopez and Mate JC Martinez, hosted Dan Moore, Jeanne Schad, Monica Schad, and Robert Schad from Studio City, California. With expert guidance, the group released ten Striped Marlin ranging from 100 to 120 pounds on bait and landed three Dorado weighing up to 26 pounds near the Old Lighthouse.

On “LA CHINGONA 2,” a 64-foot Viking captained by TOÃ’ O B and crew, angler Michael Hurd from Belton, Texas, caught and released ten Striped Marlin (approximately 120 pounds each) and three Dorado up to 26 pounds, on bait near the Old Lighthouse.
