Cory Pierce, Dylan Fulton, Jeremy Fulton, Logan Harris, and Scott Fulton selected the “CHASIN TAIL,” a 62-foot Viking, run by Captain Pepe and Mates Ulises, Hamo, and Dulce for their fishing platform on this calm, clear 80-degree day. They immediately liked the captain and mates and had lots of enjoyment in every fish they reeled in – all eighteen Yellowfin Tuna at the Jaime Bank. They soon learned it would not be an easy task, as these warriors were brutal; however, they learned a great deal and felt it was worth every minute of their time.
Captain Beto Lira and Jesus R. are proud of the Pisces boat, the “RUTHLESS,” a 31-foot Bertram that they have made their second home. They were hosting the Wilson Family from Poteet, Texas, on Friday when they decided that Christopher, Hayden, and James might enjoy fishing at the Jaime Bank, as the Yellowfin Tuna were biting there. The anglers caught and released one 80-pound Striped Marlin on a Ballyhoo and eighteen Yellowfin Tuna from 9 to 15 pounds on bait at the Jaime Bank. Their success was a testament to their skills and dedication.

Captain Fernando and Mate Marcelo, the crew on the “ANDREA,” a 28-foot Uniflite, guided their guests Hanna Rey and Tory Smith from Watford, Ontario, Canada, to one of Cabo’s rich fishing grounds, the Golden Gate Bank. There, they caught and released two 120-pound Striped Marlin on lures and bait, and then moved to the Jaime Bank, where they caught ten 8 to 16-pound Yellowfin Tuna, also on lures and bait.

Aleina Soueidi, Brady Borak, Lauren Blumenfeld, Lauren Borak, Michael Chidiac, and Thayer Brown, from Mount Juliet, Tennessee, found themselves entranced by the Baja waters and the great fishing there. They chartered the “BILL COLLECTOR II,” a 35-foot Cabo Flybridge, with Captain Juan C Lopez and Mate JC Martinez, where the crew ran to the Lighthouse, and the anglers were able to catch and release one 100-pound Striped Marlin on Ballyhoo; then running to the San Jaime where the tuna were biting, they enjoyed the thrill of battling twenty-two Yellowfin Tuna weighing up to 20 pounds on bait and feathers.

The “HOT ROD,” a 42-foot Cabo Flybridge, with Erick Orozco at the helm and Hot Rod Jose Ramiro Ramirez running the cockpit, the efforts of anglers Brandon Rapp, Carson Dey, Eric Dey, and Jonathan Rapp yielded a memorable catch of twenty 18 to 20-pound Yellowfin Tuna caught on bait and lures at the Jaime Bank.

Ken and Kelly Parkman wanted to catch a few tuna, so they chartered the “REBECCA,” a 31-foot Bertram run by Captain Jose Ramon Alucano and Mate Carlos S. The captain decided Jaime Bank was the best spot for catching tuna, so they headed in that direction. Outside of the Jaime Bank, the two anglers caught ten Yellowfin Tuna in the 10 to 15-pound range.

“VALERIE,” a 35-foot Bertram with Captain Roberto Sandez and Mate Mario J., also ran to the Jaime Bank and with the help of the skilled and experienced captain and mate, anglers David Sancewich and Owen Sancewich from Oregon, were successful in catching 21 Yellowfin Tuna on bait and feathers.

On a HALF-DAY Trip, a Georgia contingency of fishermen selected the “CHASIN TAIL,” a 62-foot Viking with Captain Pepe De La Paea and Mates Ulises, Hamo, and Dulce in charge. They ran to the San Jaime Bank to fish for tuna, and Braunsen Bax, Camille Rogers, Christian Harrison, Evan Bax, John Bax, and Teagan Bax caught 15 Yellowfin Tuna weighing from 5 to 12 pounds on bait and feathers. They loved every moment of the challenge.
David Brackmann from Cabo San Lucas chartered the “CALIENTE,” a 42-foot Cabo Flybridge captained by Jaime and Mate Silverio. It was a beautiful day on the Ocean, calm and clear. Just as they arrived outside the San Jaime Bank, a 205-pound Swordfish hit the live bait. After a tough fight with much give and take on the reel, David was sure either he or the swordfish wouldn’t last another minute. However, the brute was finally near enough to the boat for the mate to leader the fish aboard with cheers and hurrahs from all three men on board! Plus, there was a lot of celebrating that evening as David recounted his trophy fish story. Congratulations to the Caliente crew and David Brackmann.

Benjamín and Karri Stewart from Tomball, Texas, selected the ANDREA,” a 28-foot Uniflite, and Captain Fernando Noyola and Mate Marcelo as their guides to fishing. They ran to the San Jaime Bank, where they were able to catch and release a 100-pound Striped Marlin on bait, as well as eight Yellowfin Tuna weighing up to 20 pounds.
Adding to the remarkable feat of releasing a Striper and catching eight Yellowfin on their vacation trip was not an isolated incident, and Cabo’s history of harboring these gorgeous fish continues to be the perfect haven for anglers seeking significant fishing challenges.

Captain Abel and Mate Ninja, running the 35-foot Cabo Flybridge, the “RIPPER,” were eager to begin fishing. Rumors of tuna at the San Jaime had them up early and ready to go when their clients, Breanne and Richard Fowler from Navasota, Texas, walked down the dock to introduce themselves. They were just as eager as the crew, which put them in good standing with the captain and mate. Heading straight to the San Jaime Bank where the action had been taking place, the anglers caught one 30-pound Dorado on a lure just outside the San Jaime, and then caught eleven Yellowfin Tuna up to 20 pounds on bait and feathers.
Austin L. Mikeal, Christi Murray, Christopher Heiremeyer, and David Mikeal from Nacogdoches, Texas, chartered the “TRACY ANN,” a 31-foot Bertram with Captain Julio Castro and Mate Tracy Ann Raul Leal running the boat. They ran to San Jaime, where they caught and released a 60-pound Striped Marlin on Ballyhoo and eleven Yellowfin Tuna weighing in the 15 to 18-pound range on bait and feathers outside of San Jaime, a ritual synonymous with the thrill of big-game fishing in Cabo.
P A group of five from Arvada, Colorado, chose Captain Bruce M. and Mate Jorge Velez, the captain and mate on the “KARINA,” a 30-foot Bertram, to take them fishing on Monday. They headed to the San Jaime Bank, where the anglers caught six Yellowfin Tuna up to 35 pounds on bait and feathers. Due to the anglers’ expertise, they successfully caught the tuna.

This event not only highlighted the prowess required to land a marlin but also showcased the rich marine biodiversity that thrives in Cabo’s waters, making it a premier destination for fishing enthusiasts.

Near shore, a spirited Roosterfish weighing about 30 pounds was taken on live bait, marking another memorable catch for the anglers. The combination of skillful crew and cooperative weather made for exceptional fishing.

When Gabin Doyle, Jose Leos, and Justin Doyle chose their boat as a fishing platform, they were thrilled as the three men said they were avid anglers and eager to fish.
